Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in web development using JavaScript/HTML and frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular.
• Extensive experience with MS SQL.
• Practical experience with .NET is desirable.
• Experience developing data-driven dashboards for senior stakeholders using Python and/or Power BI.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, ETL and data analysis, including pandas, NumPy and Matplotlib.
• Ability to build and maintain backend services or data processing pipelines.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and Agile project management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Active and valid NATO SECRET security clearance.
• Ability to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Duties & Role:
• Design, develop and deploy web-based dashboards under the supervision of the Head of Data Analysis Section.
• Follow predefined implementation plans for dashboard development.
• Support the development and testing of data collection solutions.
• Develop and configure web applications using modern web development frameworks.
• Transform and integrate data from classified and unclassified sources into web-based systems.
• Perform data conversion and preprocessing using Python APIs and ETL tools.
• Further develop data collection tools in line with stakeholder requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for code, service endpoints and system architecture.
• Develop training materials and support knowledge transfer to organisational staff.
• Support security testing and approval activities.
• Test solutions with stakeholders and ensure they meet requirements.
• Develop data-driven dashboards for senior leadership using Python and/or Power BI.
• Support workshops and stakeholder engagements in coordination with NATO International Staff and Allies.
• Ensure developed applications meet security, usability and accessibility requirements.
• Participate in virtual meetings and in-person events to support deliverables and timelines.
• Coordinate closely with the Lead Point of Contact and provide regular progress updates.
• Advise on project management and potential risks to project timelines.
• Brief NATO International Staff and leadership on progress.
• Execute other projects and activities as directed by the Head of Data Analysis Section.

Specific Working Conditions:
• Work is within the NATO International Staff, Defence Planning and Policy Division, Defence Planning Directorate, Data Analysis Section.
• The role supports the development and maintenance of data collection, analysis and visualisation solutions.
• The contract is scheduled to start on 1 November 2026 and continue until the end of December 2026, with potential extension subject to performance and budget approval.
• Travel to NATO HQ may be required 2–3 times during the performance period, with travel costs included in the quoted price.
• A signed Non-Disclosure Agreement is required.
